About Us

With more than 65 years of combined experience, Bees Industrial Services LLC began as a small division of a family business, Harry Blumenthal & Sons Inc. (Blumenthals Inc.), and grew into an independent company.

In 2004, Bonnie Stein, Brian Nichols, and a third partner founded Bees Industrial Services with a simple idea: build relationships, don't just make sales. When the economy slipped in 2008, the partners faced hard choices. Bonnie and Brian bought out their third partner and carried the business forward on their own, with occasional part-time help and Jacob Stein pitching in during school breaks.

They earned loyal customers through straightforward honesty. "We'd rather lose this sale than give you a ship date we can't meet." "Yes, we can get you that expensive heater band, but this less expensive one will work just as well." That candor is still how we do business today.

Jacob joined the team full time in 2011 and became a partner in 2016. His technology background helped Bees streamline processes, modernize our systems, and work far more efficiently.

In 2014, Bees moved to its current home in Hopkins, Minnesota. Since then, we've upgraded our software, organized our inventory, and added an online store to make ordering easier. We stock dedicated inventory for many of our customers, along with a broad general inventory ready to ship.

Through every change, one thing has stayed the same: customer service is our number one priority, and every relationship matters to us.
